...oh deer...
2003-10-25/6:54 p.m.

The following entry actually appeared in Rowan's paper, The Whit, under the "Crime Log":

October 16, 8:02 a.m.

A deer was found in the art gallery of Westby Hall [the art building]. The deer, a young buck, had crashed through the glass and was stuck inside of the building. Officers cleared out the glass remaining from the broken window and led the animal out of the building, where it fled across Route 322 and into the adjacent woods. The animal had injured itself crashing through the window. The deer excreted bodily fluids all over the room. It is unknown whether the deer was making a statement about art.
