| 2003-08-12/11:38 p.m. well here i am with my monthly entry. haha. i was exhausted earlier so i took a nap and now i'm wide awake and have nothing to do, so i figured i might as well update. it's been almost a month so let me think about some recent events... well i've gone to two concerts since i last updated. the first was Bon Jovi, which made it my fourth time seeing him and i swear, it's the kind of concert you never get tired of going to, if you're a fan that is. he just puts on such an amazing, high-energy, jam-packed show, it's always worth it! i went with my sister and her roommate, and Mom Loftin and Liz. despite the fact that i was more than slightly hung over from the night before at Theresa's (ugh, was i sick!) i still had a blast. then just this past friday, i went to see Justin and Christina. it was me, Brynn, Theresa, and Katy. we blindfolded Katy and took her there as a surprise for her birthday. she was so excited she cried! it was cute. props to Theresa for having the idea and i'm glad it all worked out and we were able to keep it a secret. plus, that concert was crazy! the Black Eyed Peas opened and i liked them so much, i bought their CD the other day at Wal-Mart. then it was Christina, and then Justin last. all of them kicked ass. they sang, they danced, they jumped around, Christina had a male stripper and Justin beatboxed for an entire segment. it doesnt get any better than that. so that was lots of fun too. i saw a couple movies like "How to Deal" with Mandy Moore, (not really that great because it had no point, but still cute for a cheesy teen flick) and "American Wedding" (totally freakin hilarious! i thought it was better than the second one because the wedding/bachelor party and all put a new spin on things and gave it a fresh storyline! i laughed my ass off!) i went to a Phillies game one night on the spur of the moment which was really fun. it was me, Jen, Theresa, Sean, and Eric. we all were looking for something to do one night and Sean suggested going to the game. i had a lot of fun yelling "CHARGE!" haha. i used to go to games all the time when i was younger and havent been in awhile, so it was a fun evening. oh, and i got to see Kate one night too! she was home and not doing anything, so we all hung out at Brynn's together. it was good seeing her and just chatting and goofing off with her. i miss all our extravagant evenings from back in the day. oh and another night, me and Sean took John and Kim to the club for John's birthday. we ended up driving around Philly for like an hour and a half before we found somewhere to go which kind of put a damper on the evening, but it ended up okay. we finally went to Shampoo and hung out there for awhile and bought him a drink because he's a big boy now! haha. and i went in the foam room too! i thought it would be cooler than it was, but it was kind of gross. there were all these 17-year-olds like having sex underneath all the suds and that just kind of skeeved me out. plus you get all wet and filmy. i dont know, it might be more fun without all the trashy kids there, but i didnt think it was that great. but anyway, i had fun that night hanging out with them. last week i went down to the shore for a few days. i stayed at jen's house with her and chrissy and we had a lot of fun. it kind of sucked because we only really got one beach day in on wednesday. every other day, it was rainy and gross. so we went shopping! which is always a fun alternative. most of the time though, we were just big dorks and stayed home and played games till all hours of the night! i swear we played Scattergories like ten thousand times. but it was fun and more than anything, it was nice to not have to worry about going to work. and then on thursday night, Theresa, Eric, Brynn, Patrick, and Sean all drove down to LBI and we went to visit the Loftins at their house down there. that was fun too. we played games all night there, but it was a lot of fun because there were like ten people playing, especially when everyone was yelling during Battle of the Sexes, haha. and we got to hang out with Mike, who was just hilarious. i think he was a lil tipsy, which probably helped, but he was cracking me up all night. it was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone there. and i guess the other big news of the past few weeks is that jen and i got approved for an apartment. yay! we spent one whole morning just driving around central jersey scoping out places and then we found one, went to visit it with her mom and sign the papers and we just heard last week that we were approved. i'm pretty excited to not be living on campus this year and to have my own room. i think it will be fun and it's a really nice place so i'm stoked. but move-in day is in like 10 days which means instead of playing around online, i should probably be trying to get stuff together, but eh. everyone knows i'm a last minute queen, so i'll worry about it later. haha. so now it's back to work this week, which sucks, but that's life. i ran a whole bunch of errands today, all the way down to Rowan and back. man, i havent been there since May, so it felt weird walking around campus again. but i got some stuff accomplished and talked to my favorite professor, Donovan, which was fun. i might be helping him do some research this year and if i do it, it'll act as a sort of on-campus internship which will count for credits, so that should be cool. anyway, now i'm just sitting around trying to think of things to do to waste some time until i'm tired. i think i'm gonna go clean, that always wears me out. haha. okay, well that's my update for now. i'm sure i wont write another one until after i move and get settled and school starts and i get back into a routine, so i'll be back with more then. hope all is well. hugs and kisses to everyone. goodnight!
