| 2003-07-18/1:49 p.m. okay, it's seriously been over a month since i last updated. that's pathetic. haha. but when i say i'm not online, i'm not kidding. i just checked my email today for the first time in three weeks. i had, no lie, 423 emails in my account. they were all junk, but nonetheless, that's how long it's been since i've been online to check it. so it's nothing personal, i'm just not on the computer as much in the summer. anyhoo, it's been too long to recount everything i've been doing. i've been trying to go to the beach on my days off with whoever is around, so that's been fun, getting in some sun time. i finally got to see "the castle" (aka jen paetzold's beach house) too, which is amazing and i'm totally having teddy build me one when i grow up! lol. um, i got to hang out with mom loftin and the gang for our lil pre-4th-of-july BBQ which was fun for me, even though liz hated sean and they just kept fighting all night. lol, but it was kind of funny too. (thanks mom loftin, by the way, i had a good time!) and speaking of the 4th, it was fun. i had to work all day, then we all went to the fort dix fireworks (and Dr. Dre was there!!!!!) and came back to brynn's later to party and hang out and eric was hilarious, and it was a good time had by all. i've been working a lot lately too because now that i'm like an experienced worker, they like to give me as many hours as possible rather than giving them to the new people, so i've been pretty much living at the gap the past few weeks. but the paychecks are SWEET! and i got a $1 raise, which in corporate terms, is one hell of a raise! so that was pretty exciting. oh and in other good news, just yesterday, i heard from the scholarship i applied for way back in april from the King Family Foundation (Donovan, the professor that loves me, suggested it to me). you can get up to $2500 from them and i got a scholarship of $1000 for next year! yay me! i was excited. i guess it's not that big of a deal to anyone but me, but after getting my bill from Rowan yesterday too, i realized that this money, plus the other scholarships that i already had, pretty much pay for my tuition this year, which is definitely a good thing. and it kind of makes me feel like having always tried to get good grades really does pay off in the end. um, what else...well patrick's sister had her baby, which i'm sure you all already read about in brynn's diary, but i was quite excited. i got to see the tape mr. poole made of little Avery the other day and that baby is precious! i went kind of crazy and bought all this baby stuff for him from work. lol. i know i dont know steph all that well, but she is patrick's sister and i know patrick pretty well! and plus, i work day in and day out in that damn store and i never have had anyone to buy cute baby stuff for, so i just went nuts and bought lots of cute things for Avery. :) so yeah, that's basically been my life in a nutshell for the past month. went to the farm fair the other night, that was fun. it's an interesting environment at the farm fair, because it's just like that down home country carnival type atmosphere that you'd expect in like alabama or something, but yet it's here, in jersey, lol. but it was fun. oh and last week was a year for me and sean. we didnt really do anything special. just put on some nice clothes and went out to dinner together. :) it was an enjoyable evening. it's crazy to think that it's been a year already. okay, so yeah, now, seriously, that's been my life lately. i'm just trying to enjoy the rest of the summer and not think about the fact that i have to go back to school in a few weeks or that i have nowhere to live yet either! haha, oh man. anyway, i dont want to think about classes and work and all that crap yet. it's sunny out and i want to go sit out on my deck and read a magazine, so that's where i'll be. :) sorry about the absence but hugs and kisses to you all. xoxo. bye.
